We invite you to send in nominees for the inaugural Certificate course in Sports Marketing & Brand Property Management. This course which is the first of it's kind in West Africa has Mr Tunji Adeyinka of the Republicom Group and a seasoned marketing and sponsorship veteran as course director. Tunji will be supported by a powerhouse faculty of experts from both within Nigeria and abroad.
Faculty includes; Abimbola Ilo, Koye Sowemimo, Emamoke Ogoro, Victor Bara Hart, Kazeem Abimbola, Judith Mungeni from Kenya and Mark De Leiburne of NBA Africa.
The course which is designed as an online professional skills development training programme will cover both conceptual and practice content based on the contemporary best practice curricula in the field of sports and entertainment related sponsorship marketing. It will incorporate lectures, case studies video exhibits and self paced learning exercises designed for the busy executive.
Topics to be covered include an introduction and fundamental principles and techniques of sponsorship marketing, sports marketing and broadcast sponsorship. Hospitality management in sports, as well as athlete management, will also be covered. A special session will focus on how property owners can develop, prepare and market their platforms to potential sponsors, with case studies taken from the Orlando Pyrates system in South Africa as well as a full case study on the US NBA basketball franchise, which will be delivered by Mark De Leiburne of NBA Africa. Other sessions will look at how brands globally are optimising the entertainment talent ecosystem for brand amplification and showcase how the contemporary entertainer can develop and package the associative properties required to position them as effective brand ambassadors and consumer influencers.
Participants will also be trained on how to develop a sponsorship brief and strategic plan, including being exposed to the latest techniques in sponsorship property valuation, measurement and control.
This will be the third professional learning and development programme that is being put together by ExperientialNG, a specialist industry resource for professionals in the experiential marketing, digital experience, events and brand activation industry within West Africa and beyond. The platform is founded by Dr Rotimi Olaniyan to serve the information and knowledge needs of practitioners, clients, partners, researchers and vendors across the entire BTL industry service spectrum. The platform operates a marketing academy which is a licensee of Francis Tansley Business Academies from the UK. Programme content, curricula and student assessment are moderated and quality assured by the UK licensor as a precursor to the award of its certificates to deserving students.
