EXMAN Executive Council Visits APCON Registrar, Gains Recognition As Sectoral Group

The Executive Council of The Experiential Marketers’ Association of Nigeria (EXMAN)
recently paid a courtesy call on the new Registrar of Advertising Practitioners Council of
Nigeria (APCON), Dr Lekan Fadulapo.
The visit which took place at the Registrar's office at APCON secretariat, saw the two teams rub minds on how to move the industry forward. Being the first formal interaction with Dr
Fadulapo since he became the registrar, EXMAN executives congratulated him formally on
his new appointment by the federal government.
In a related development, The Experiential Marketers’ Association of Nigeria, EXMAN was
formally recognised as a sectoral body in the nation’s advertising business during a lunch
gathering at Radisson Hotel Ikeja, two days ago.
This development, EXMAN president, Tade Adekunle says is a good development that will
galvanize EXMAN into adding more value to Nigeria's marketing communications industry .
It could be recalled that EXMAN started engagements with APCON on this issue when Mr
Lolu Akinwumi was the APCON chair. When he left, engagements continued with The
Udeme Uffort led council until it was suddenly dissolved 5 years ago. Although the council
is yet to be reconstituted, the appointment of Dr Lekan Fadulapo as registrar seems to have
facilitated a lot a positive developments that will advance the interest of the industry going
into the new year.
